Typically not – the 87-401 is an exception as it is a “Bolt-on” Domino sensor and control node which can switch and dim a connected 0-10V dimmable fixture, but otherwise fixtures need to be Domino capable in order to use our sensors.
Yes, Domino has wirelessly connected control modules that can dim all standard 0-10 V and phase dimmed luminaires, from most any manufacturer from 120-347V.
No, Domino is supported as a singular closed system for lighting controls and does not work with other manufacturer’s control systems.
No Domino is a completely separate commercial based lighting control system that works independently from Starfish.
No, Domino is primarily a commercial grade lighting control system designed to meet all energy code requirements. (Use Starfish for residential applications)
Domino control components designed to provide a working system solution MUST be commissioned / programmed in order to work and function as intended. Domino components that are not commissioned properly WILL NOT WORK, so commissioning is required.
No, Domino can be completely commissioned on a local level with no WiFi or cloud connecton as the communications protocol is Bluetooth Mesh (another 2,4 GHz frequency)
Yes, we are very competitive with all major lighting control solutions in the market. Our wireless system greatly reduces labor install costs and reduces installation materials required. Our luminaire program with embedded sensors simplifies the fixture install process and requires no additional labor to prepare the fixture connection to the control network. Additionally, no other system components such as hubs/gateways are required to enable system functionality.
We supply Domino fixtures with embedded sensors as one complete component vs most of our competitors who supply “sensor-ready” fixtures which I like to refer to as “fixtures with holes in them”. This simplifies the process greatly in terms of ordering and faster delivery. To see the full list of our competitive advantages see the Domino Sales PPT.

DOMINO™ luminaires offer limitless configuration possibilities, allowing you to create custom lighting solutions for any application. You can create zones with up to 100 nodes, group fixtures for flexible control, and set up lighting scenes with the DOMINO app or connected wall switches.
The system also includes occupancy/vacancy sensors with adjustable light levels and time-off controls, advanced daylight harvesting technology, and task/trim tuning for optimized light levels. You can even set up schedules to match your specific needs and save energy.
